The company Franz Pallme Koënig is a separate company from the better known Pallme Koënig and Habel. The mark FBK, as shown in image four, was listed in the only glass mark literature I have as 'known but not thought to be Pallme Koënig'. I bought them knowing only that. I have Kevin Gummer and Ross McKenzie to thank for bringing me up to date when I posted the vases in a Facebook group. I've never claimed to be any sort of researcher!

Friends on the internet are often the best resource.
These are amazing Peggy, they look tactile too.

I agree totally with your first statement, Karen, and its often the same people who know, regardless of the group that you ask. These are a mixture of paint and raised enamelling on a satin finish surface, so yes, tactile. It was good to find two in quick succession as there does seem to be a 'house style' to the depiction of flowers and foliage.

You are so right Sylvia, and the quality maker will add small additional decorations. Here it's the small heart pattern on the bulge below the rim.

You're not wrong. I'd taken measurements of where I thought it would fit. However due to it's width that was a no no. It ended up on a console table.

The painted plant covers all the surface and keeps continuity from the top to the bottom .It's not so often ,I think.

Yes, Iwona, and the design spreads around two thirds of the vase. And back in the day, I think that would have come from a renowned maker and been reflected in the price.
