So, for my 62 nd birthday my husband gave me a metal detector. In a bid to stop me digging up our lawn he suggested I detect near a boundary wall. I did as suggested and dug up this porcelain coated sign. It had been used to shutter concrete, I think, between 1930-1940.
Happiest detecting find ever for me. It was in excellent condition with bright colours and very little damage.

Thanks Vynil33rpm it was so exciting at the time. I now have an all singing all dancing detector and I’ve never enjoyed a find quite as much as that one.
