Hello everyone!!
So, now that you've seen my bronze horse sculptures, I'll get back on track with my regular posts. Here's a bronze hare sculpture that is made in the Pierre Chenet style. However, since it's not signed with the Pierre Chenet trademark "Crown" stamp, I can't truthfully refer to this as a Pierre Chenet sculpture.
This hare sculpture is hollow and has the Pierre Chenet acid patina. I love the design of this hare and I have a couple of smaller versions of this design. This one measures 9 3/16" tall and 5 1/2" front to back. It weighs 3.4lbs. This one dates somewhere between the mid-1970's to late 1980's. So, not old, but highly collectible.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!

A very nice bronze Hare statue indeed!
A very characterful hare, and the patina is wonderful.
The ears are so realistic and quizzical, he's a charmer
The patina is such eye candy, I just adore this green stone marble finish so much and decorates the hare so perfectly !~
Thanks Falcon!!
Thank you Karen!! He does have a lot of character for sure.
Thanks Jenni!! I love those ears as well.
Thanks Phil!!! I love the patina as well. I believe Pierre Chenet actually developed this patina process, in France, and uses it on all of his bronze sculptures.
