    Hello everyone!!
You saw my recent post of a rabbit smoking a pipe. Here’s my other cast iron rabbit smoking a pipe. I think the colors, I painted him in, suit him quite well. As with my other cast iron rabbit, he too was cast at a foundry in England and cast very well at that. A very smooth casting , such as this one, is definitely a sign of quality. He too is signed “Mc” on the hem of his coat. This one also measures 11 1/2” tall and weighs 5!1/2lbs!!

Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!
    Scott

Fabulous cast iron professor rabbit, he makes a fine pair with his thoughtful friend - and excellent color choices Scott

      Phil,
Thank you!! I wasn't quite sure how the gray waistcoat would look, but I agree that it makes him sort of stand out.

      Jenni,
Thanks very much! I pretty much chose the colors on a whim, as I was painting him. But, in the end, I was pleased with the color choices.

Your house must be a delight Scott.
Figures like this everywhere, all so characterful, all watching us and pondering, probably not judging.
The two there together are probably good mates, tsking a little about the world, maybe discussing the risk of owl friends, but serene in the House of Scott.

      Karen,
Thanks very much! I like to think that they're all best friends. It is like a wonderland here at times. I do wish I could keep them all out on display, but I only have a few on display. I have a room in our house that I keep some in, while others go to climate controlled storage.

Both seem to be contemplating on a serious matter?!
"Has Reddy invaded our warren?" Ha! Love the pipes! And you always do fine work in restoring your wonderful animals?

      Eileen,
Thanks so very much!! These fellows are actually not old, but came to me very rusty and unpainted. I get a huge thrill out of breathing life into these anthropomorphic animals. I too love those pipes:)
