This cup was also purchased to Dorita Ferrari, about six years ago. I bought two china sugar bowls that I have not published yet RS Prussia, one with boats sailing boats and this coffee cup was a “gift” because the purchase was important. In a Russian antique shop (https://antiqueland.ru/good/3225/) a similar item is listed as “Cup Kuznetsov on legs Partnership M.S. Kuznetsova 1870”. The shape of the legs and the handle are identical.
The decoration with the opaque pink background and the medallion are characteristic features of Russian porcelain of that time. The drawings are a decal of high quality, the porcelain translucent. The number underneath could be de pattern identification. Kuznetsov was the first Russian manufacture to use mechanical decor - a background sprayed with an airbrush, a drawing applied with a stamp using a stencil, and then decor was added by hand, and this combination brought a special touch to the drawing. You can see here that the stenciled is in brown color while the hand painted flowers of the medallion and leaf are of a pink darker than the background, the leaf of a clear green and the landscape in pale blue, grey and browns colors. Thanks so much for looking and loving, always any comment is very important to me.
