I bought this cup also five years ago just before the pandemia… to Graciela in the Belgrano flee market and paid about 15 U$. Till today I thought it was newer, it seems no one has used it never, but the backstamp dates it to 1870-1890. The technology is very different from the other Russian cups I had posted, the porcelain is very white, translucent there are no signs of ash from the wood-fired kilns, the decoration although appealing is less curately since the points of the transfer are seen immediately withouth any effort. The art nouveau blank has some relief in the base and around the handle difficult to catch in the picture. Thanks so much for looking and always any comment is a great pleasure.
the Gardner marks of that time
