I've just bought this lovely vase on Ebay for a very reasonable price, it has one chip on the underside of the stem but is otherwise perfect. Curiously the green stem isn't uranium glass but the clear leaves are. These seem to be very popular in America but don't turn up very often in the UK. It's quite large at 14cm. tall, 15cm./6" long.
Very nice example of this design! I've been lucky to find quite a few of these, mostly within Australia. They are strongly sought after!
It is so well done that I almost feel the the silky petals of the calla and the scent of sap emanating from the cut stem
There are more examples of these in known factory literature from Aarhus than Kralik. There is actually more than an outside possibility that it could be Aarhus production. Aarhus used Bohemian gaffers to produce them. Unless the form is documented in either the Aarhus or Kralik brochures, a solid accurate attribution is very unlikely.
Thanks welzebub, I should have checked a bit further, I will now.
Such a beautiful vase!!
