      You're allowed up to four pictures per post, so perhaps you could add some more images, as the sole one you have right now isn't of the entire mechanism.

      The Chatillon company started in 1835, and still exists under the AMETEK Sensors, Test & Calibration corporate umbrella:

      At least in the past, they specialized in spring balances:
