Since acquiring this drinking vessel about 35 years ago, I have not seen a second one of this type, nor do I know of any collection in which such a vessel is represented. In the pattern index by Jitka Lnenickova and in the pattern index "Lötz" Volume 2, sample patterns of such drinking vessels are shown in other sizes (PN II 7979 and PN 7979 I). These vessels were made in creta silver iris. It is noted on these cuts that these drinking vessels were made for Dr. jur. Franz Ritter von Sprung, the legal adviser of the Spaun family (Augusta Spaun and her son) (see: Klatovy State District Archive Johann Loetz, widow, Glashütte, Klášterský Mlýn, EL NAD No. 1153 AP No. 472 PhDr. Lenka Sýkorová Klatovy 2012) .
Design: 1911, probably PN II 7979, decor: candia silver iris with papillon. The foot was formed from rods, the body was blown and freely modeled, the melted silver-yellow crumbs were reduced and iridescent. The optically pre-blown bowl made of colorless glass was then blown into the prefabricated body until the glass came out of the existing openings. This style is popularly called "caught glass". After which the glass was knocked off at the opening and the edge was ground and polished. Height 12.2cm
