Very worn out tin box. I can barely make out the writing. I thought it might be a tea tin or a tobacco tin. Looks to me it reads Maryland Club Original Mixture. I can't make out the other letters. On the bottom I can only read New York. The side looks like it says Choice
Virginia. I found it in the garage and was just wondering if anyone knew. It has been around the house at least 50 years. It is about
4" long 2" wide and 2" high.
Hey, SandyShores. :-)
Here's another with the paint in somewhat better condition:

One side panel reads "CHOICE VIRGINIA & LOUISIANA PERIQUE."
Now let's see how the CW S&T software handles this comment. };-)
Ah, well. The CW S&T software still isn't quite there yet. :-(
BTW, I see more than a few of these tins out there, but the styling of the "Original" part varies, so that might be a clue to age.
The litho's on this tin were made by Ginna & Co. Lithographers from NY
