Steampunk Art - "What's Bugging Me?"

It's been raining and cold for a week straight and it's kinda depressing. So I decided to try my hand at some steampunk art that I've been thinking about for awhile. I've titled this piece, "What's Bugging Me?".

Surrounded by piles of electronics parts and pieces for years, I've decided to use them for some artwork. The piece doesn't photograph really good...it looks way cooler in person. I added a string of LED lights for interest. I made some bugs out of wire lugs, shrink tube and leds. The main subject has an electrical part that was the inspiration of the artwork...it looks like a robot head. I added an old oxygen gauge, and some copper springs and leds. The tail is a coax cable that actually is screwed into the bottom of the head, which has a coax fitting. I then added some pieces of shrink tube to create the colored tail. The legs are actually peg board hangers and the body is a cage from an electrical part. I also added a few dead bugs and installed red leds to show they're dead..lol.

May not appeal to everyone, but I enjoyed making it
