This is a water color painting that came down to me from my mother and has been in the family. The story is that my grandfather bought it in China. I don't know if this is true. It is 21” by 18”. Sorry for the poor snapshot with reflection apparent.

A problem, if this painting is not signed, is that a book was published to teach others to paint in the style of G.D. Arul Raj. Of course if your painting could be dated to before the book was published, that could be removed as a complicating factor in identifying the artist.
I have a few paintings in the style of G. D. Arul Raj signed by other Indian artists. Not sure if it was his style or if he painted in a style also used by other artists.
