These were stuck on the garage wall at LARRYS
He told me they were "German"
On the back they are marked NEW YORK
Are they "Marksmanship" awards??
A Marksmanship award for GRENADE??
That one has the bulls-eye cross top to it.
The pistol one is plain??
Any ideas if these signify anything military?
That's a U.S. Army sharpshooter with the bullseye. Without isca marksman. Then you get different attachments for different weapons, like pistol, rifle, machine gun, etc..
I have a bunch, thought I'd shown them, but can't find my post..so maybe not.

For the Love
They are called qualification badges— worn on dress uniforms (officers normally don’t wear). They run from Expert, Sharpshooter to Marksman (highest standard to lowest).
For grenades, there is a qualification course that you go through with practice grenades— actually many soldiers find it challenging.
