Super Rocket Baby
The Super Rocket was the most powerful engine option for the Oldsmobile 88 and 98 of 1965-1967. Ultra High Compression: 10.25:1 at 360 hp.
Be prepared to run a 91 to 93 octane gasoline.... otherwise ... ping ping ping :)
The 1967 OLDS 98 I had wore one of those "PIE TINS"
It was 375 Horsepower 10.5 to 1 compression
I have a couple 1967 Tornado engines in the shed. Those came 385 Horsepower with big valve heads like 442 W30 About 500 Ft.LBS Torque Forged crankshafts and high compression
Well wickencrafts...... I stand corrected.
You definitely know your Oldsmobiles.
I must have been standing on my head when reading the spec sheet.
Thanks Much for the correction and clarification!
Here's some eye candy for you..

I can not even spell TORONADO correctly
Do not believe everything you read
No Hurry
No Worries
They had a few different HP ratings for the 425 engines
I think they even had a 2 BBL High compression version
