Can't remember how I acquired this mini version of Rodin's iconic sculpture but it was a nice find. Although rather small 4.5" tall it's quite heavy. Made of solid copper it weighs a little over a pound. Decent detail and the lacquered finish keeps it bright. A bit of worn felt on the bottom shows it might have some age, No foundry marks or company probably a paperweight or souvenir from a museum. -Mike-

Thanks for the "love" and comment yougottahavestuff :) Pretty sure it's copper. Doesn't show in these pictures too well, but it's that bright new penny red.

Something I just remembered everyone. We had our version vandalized at The Cleveland Museum of Art in 1970. Someone put dynamite on the pedestal and detonated it. Never caught the culprit. Still an unsolved mystery to this day. Here's the link to the story:

We had the Gardner Museum Art robbery in Cambridge Ma. Many years ago. Never solved but every year they have another lead!!! Searching homes, tearing down walls etc.
      Still nothing!! Like your story.

I remember the Gardner robbery yougottahavestuff that was a terrible loss. Those paintings if not destroyed are probably in a private collection or hidden and never to be seen again. :(
