Who made this brace and bit drill?

This ratcheting brace bit drill is about 14" long x 7" wide. It has a lot of wear but appears to be serviceable. The knurling is about worn off of the chuck/shell and little remains of what I think was a nickel finish. It appears to have been quite well made, very high quality and I think it has a lot of life left in it.

There is something stamped on the bow but I cannot tell if it is the maker's name or some sort of instruction. I can only make out a few letters: HOLDA...... The L is a guess as the bottom is worn off, if that is what it is. There are also three dots on the other end of the bow but I am not sure if they are just doodles or something else, more intentional.

I am not a big vintage/antique tool guy and was wondering if anyone can tell me who made this drill?

I am going to clean it up and and put it back to work as it seems too well made to let rust away.
