Tis' the season to kick off the local car shows ! Last Sunday my sister and I attended our local Historical Society's annual car and bike show. The village is a great venue. It's comprised of relocated buildings and shops that create a unique nostalgic feel. The old chapel still hosts weddings and seasonal events are planned throughout the year. Check out their website it has lots more pictures and info. https://amhersthistoricalsociety.org/. -Mike-

      Nice!
A '64 Impala SS parked next to my favorite.... '63 split window Corvette. :)
That Fleetwood is one BIG car and the driver looks like he means business. Looks like a great day! Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks for the "love" and comment Falcon61. It was a picture perfect day ! Yes, lots of Impalas and Corvettes some great 30's era trucks too. The guy in the Fleetwood is intimidating, but most of us grumpy old guys are marshmallows on the inside...lol

Love the big Caddy! Who let them park that 90s Buick Regal there next to the Thunderbird? Lol

Thanks for the "love" and comment dav2no1 :) To each his own I guess as long as the car was 25 years or older. So it was the sublime to the ridiculous. I thought about bringing the Rolls but there weren't many foreign cars there. A couple Triumphs, MG's, a Porsche, and a VW Kharmann Ghia which my sister loved cause our Mom had a lettuce green one. I would have been the odd duck...lol. Plus I couldn't have enjoyed the show worrying about it. The village while nice has the awful dusty crushed rock roads that kick up dust and leaves rings on your tires. People were creeping in and out and trying to stay on the grassy areas as much as possible.

It certainly is the season for car shows.
I have a few scheduled to go to.
The big one coming up is the voted #1 Car Show in the United States by USA Today/10best for the past two years, Minnesota Street Rod Association’s (MSRA) Back to the 50’s Weekend" in St. Paul, MN. The Back to the 50's" event will be held on June 23, 24, and 25. The event will feature over 12,000 street rods, customs, classics, and restored vehicles from 1964 and older. Participants come from most states and Canada. The event will take place at the State Fairgrounds and will include music and other activities.

You are a lucky man Falcon61 to have such great shows in your own backyard ! One of our premier shows is the Father's Day show at Stan Hywett Hall in Akron. They recently host Antiques Roadshow to which I did not win tickets :( The Seiberling mansion and gardens were the home of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. co-founder Frank Seiberling. Lots of Gatsby era cars in that show no rods or customs definitely more upscale. Was there for a high school field trip 50 years ago. Ah the good life !

The Father's Day show at Stan Hywett Hall in Akron sounds like a winner!
I'm always busy going to a variety of show events including Rat Rods, Classics, boats, steam, farm, bicycles, and motorcycles. Anything mechanical.... I'm there :)
