I was given this set as an attempted apology. The disrespecror continued on and on about the value both monetary and personal. I would like just to know a little history on the item.

the point is i got very bad eyes, so you have to tap yourselve is it hybrid are only the toppings ( faux) bovine ( ?)and is the rest wood ?

board is still ok but need pimping

It looks like maybe sort of native Tarascan vintage ware

the applying the grouting of the piece is moderate

      cute

It's a 20th century Mexican Chess Set made of wood and bone. If you google photo it or even google "Mexican Chess" set you will find all kinds of them. Very nice
