Donating this to a friend who would like to know the location. I thought I'd ask my friends here, anyone have an answer for me?

manitou71, dave2no1 beat me to the draw with that link. };-)

I will observe a few things from that link:

1 the designer/artist is named "Michel"
2 the vintage of the needle point kit is 1979
3 the flag at the top of the bow jackstaff on the ship as well as the one next to the house at the top of the hill look like USA flags.

Is this a real location or a creation of the artist's mind? Dunno.

dav2no1 and keramikos thank you both for for you excellent assistance. It's a great image by Michel even if I can't give a location. Steve.
