I mostly collect Sherman rhinestones, but every so often I go off-piste. Here's a mystery vintage brooch I couldn't resist buying, due to its vibrant colours and exuberant setting.
This brooch is something of a chameleon -- it changes a lot in different lights. The blue rhinestones are open-backed and unfoiled. The profusion of prongs on the navettes and the central chaton also add to the dazzle factor.
However, I have no idea who made this brooch. If anyone has any ideas, I would love to know. Thank you in advance!

I love the blue and pink solid ground colours and the many prongs make sure this piece is set for life. The ab colours add so much to the final pizzaz or zing to the already gorgeous stones. Love that massive central stones with the purple topping. In my mind it comes to Warner as a maker for one. they loved to do pieces like this, and it should go well with your Sherman pieces as the construction is somewhat similar. Spectaculaire !~

Another unsigned Beauty and what a beauty it is. The colours, and as Phil said, the many prongs which show attention to detail. Occasionally I stray from the Sherman lane too, such a nice addition to your collection.
Dawnlady1, thank you so much for your sweet comment. You know, I am always curious to see which non-Sherman pieces the Sherman collectors fall in love with. One of these days I might post some of my other non-Sherman favourites, for curiosity's sake if nothing else.
