This vase is 8.5" high x 4.5" widest diameter and weighs 3 lbs 11 ounces. It is unmarked.
The only example of this vase that I could find was on ebay. The seller's description said both that it was unmarked and that it was stamped "Tiffany". I contacted the seller for an explanation and was told that they had had two identical vases, one marked and one unmarked and had sold the marked one and forgotten to update the listing. `I searched the seller's feedback and could find no mention of "Tiffany" in any of their feedback. I then checked their completed auctions and also found nothing. Hmmm.
I did find several similarly spiral cut crystal vases signed and/or labeled as Tiffany, made in Italy, but none with the three lobes at the top.
What drew me to this vase is that it was only two dollars, was quite filthy and had a very well done ground and polished base. The vase looks to be of good quality. I figured that for two dollars, I could have the pleasure cleaning it up, doing some research and donating it to another thrift shop if it turns out to be junk. I am not convinced it is Tiffany, so not putting it in that category. I assume that nowadays some other country is making most of Tiffany's glass, anyway.
Update: Now pretty sure this vase was made in Italy for Tiffany, but no idea who made it.
nice transparent tulip, no matter who did it
