    Acme Beer Bottle Opener

Picked this up today. It was really tarnished and hard to read, so I used a little polish to make it more readable. I was not familiar with the Acme history and was pleasantly surprised to learn the Olympia Beer connection. Olympia was brewed about half an hour(give or take) south of me.

You'll also notice the Vaughan trademark on the opener.

    ACME BREWERY 1907 - 1954
The Acme Brewery of San Francisco was established in 1907 by Leopold Schmidt, owner of the Olympia Brewing Company of Tumwater, WA.

The brewery was established just after the earthquake that hit San Francisco. There was a huge demand for beer after all the damage to the local area.

**The history is extensive and interesting. I will add the links in the comments. Lots of cool pictures and old ads to look at.

    VAUGHAN NOVELTY MFG CO.
"Vaughan was founded in 1910 as the Crown Throat & Opener Company."
