Another lesser known dinosaur, this one is Concavenator, a carnivore. Concavenator is from the early Cretaceous period 130 million years ago. This was after the extinction event at the end of the Jurassic and dinosaurs started over. Like most dinosaurs from this time period Concavenator was on the small side. Up to 20 feet long and close to 900 pounds. It would look rather large if you ran into it walking through the woods being larger than anything but the biggest bears.
OK that hump. It had two large vertebrae above the hips. It is a rule for dinosaurs that they have some unique/bizarre feature. Otherwise no one would care about them millions of years later.
