I tried to find the age of this bottle based on the label but I can find this exact label. I am not knowledgeable about bourbon whiskey at all but I thought the bottle was cool with the glass stopper and the label looked old, but it may be just a decanter bottle. There is an imprinted raised “warning” on the bottom that says “federal law forbids sale or re-use of this bottle”. Also the number D-379 58-54. I don’t know if this means anything to relate to the age or not.
The label also has very small print related to internal revenue code. Provisions of section 2903-9. There is gold gilded stamp on the back as shown in the pics. Fancy font stamped 1843.
Does anyone know anything about the age of this bottle?

The “federal law forbids sale or re-use of this bottle” was put on bottles starting in 1935 until Dec. 1964. Some bottles still had that on them after 1964 until the production run of bottles ran out.

Thank you so much collectorpaul and Falcon 61. This information is quite helpful. I thought the bottle was interesting and cool looking and it sparked my curiosity to learn more. I got this bottle at a thrift store for $2.00 and will put with my other collectible items... now with the additional knowledge I learned from you, I feel more informed. I appreciate you taking time to help me.
