Vintage gold clasp/ tie pin?

Hello I’ve just rediscovered this lovely clasp in a bag of little bits, having a good look at it for the 1st time properly and think it might actually be real gold and not plated but no markings, looks perfect apart from signs of age. Have no idea about these so if anyone collects them or knows more it would be good to get a idea of how old it might be and where it might be from
