A quick search showed the exact same scene, but link didn't exist anymore and it's in Ukrainian. Here's a similar scene from same site..you can click the 3 dots on the right and hit translate.(FYI - works for any language)..

      https://shafa.ua/uk/women/aksessuary/sharfy-i-platki/41399208-platok-kartina-carskaya-ohota-ledi-dzhi-_-gercoginya-devonshirskaya

It's not quite the same scene. The one on the link is a handkerchief. This is a shawl. Need more information. Not sure it's Ukrainian?

The one I said was just like yours had a broken link. The link I provided just had a similar type image even though it was a handkerchief.

Dav2no1 hey thanks for finding the link it describes the image - this handkerchief is a picture of the royal hunt of the British Duchess of Devonshire. Beauty, nobility and natural charisma brought the Duchess success in society and the love of many people, and extravagance, passion for gambling and bright love affairs - condemnation and shame. Having married at a very young age to the more mature and, as it turned out, indifferent to her, the Duke of Devonshire, Georgiana Spencer Cavendish, thanks to her high position in English society and undoubted natural talents, became a big celebrity, a fashion and style legislator. Leading a rich social life, she created a salon in which famous literary and political figures hung out.
Still researching! thanks for the info on the image!

      Hi, SteffiFitz. :-)

This link shows what looks to me like an exact twin:

      https://shafa.ua/uk/women/aksessuary/sharfy-i-platki/85283081-bolshoy-platok-kartina-carskaya-ohota

Unfortunately, the translated description doesn't say much about it besides, "A large handkerchief picture of a royal hunt."

FWIW, the last part of the link, "bolshoy-platok-kartina-carskaya-ohota," translates as "large-shawl-picture-royal-hunt."

Just for the heck of it, I translated the other parts of the URL.

      "[S]hafa" is Ukranian for "wardrobe."

"[A]ksessuary is "accessories" (that one seemed kinda obvious, huh?).

      "[S]harfy-i-platki" is "scarves-and-shawls"

The interesting part is "women." Dunno why shafa felt they needed to use the English word, other than that people for whom English is their first language tend to resist speaking any other languages. };-)

So this item was posted under the uk/women section of shafa. However, the vendor seems to be Ukrainian ("kostik" translates as "bone").

The "About Me" section didn't reveal much about the vendor beyond that they like to sell vintage and brand name things, and they're also on Instagram.

I suppose you could try to contact the vendor, but I suspect that you'd need to create a shafa account to do that, and they might not know anything more about the item other than that it struck them as having a British-themed decor.

Keramikos, it is the exact same duplicate. Thank you. I'm just going to try to find out where they got the shawl and go from there. But any more information from anyone else is appreciated. Thank you!

good day. Thank you for writing. I would be happy to help you. But I know about him as well as you. I bought it in a store not for new clothes. These clothes came from Europe, most likely from England or Switzerland. I don't know anything else. Sorry for my language, I used a translator

I have overlooked a worn tag on shawl, please see updated description and picture of tag. Still a mystery!!
    10. keramikos, 1 year ago
SteffiFitz, Good find on the tag. :-)

So, 100% Polyester, and made in Italy. Also, export information in both English and French.

About the only other clues that might be gleaned from the tag are the little symbols for laundering. When did European manufacturers start using those?
