    This is a new décor on a well known Welz shape. Just on appearance I'm guessing that this décor was designed to give the impression of stone. Someone remarked that it looked like chalcedony.

      Stunning! There's a close resemblance to fine Venetian glass with the clear applique.

      stevenshere I really can't comment as I know nothing about Venetian glass. Clear rigaree is commonplace on Welz glass from the Victorian period.
