Here is a 5"H x 6 1-2"W amber glass lion topped oval box with hobnail accents, that was originally made by Heisey Glass in 1949, this amber version made in 1981 by the Collectors Guild (CG imprint on bottom), for Imperial Glass, item #1519

As for your glass dish, I think it's beautiful. The lion on top is so proud and regal. I love when they're done like this, it's like the sort you see guarding the steps to very important buildings :)

Wouldn't you say the color is closer to cognac, but it's officially called amber by Imperial so that's why I described it as such. Like you I think the strips of hobnail beading are most eye catching & creative
