This 2"L seahorse brooch has a seafoam enamel sculpted body, pink shell ear, teal eye & shiny marcasite accents on silvertone. From Bohemian Jewellers Ltd of Birmingham England, who did rare enamel figurals in the 1950s-1960s

DejaVu thank you for your fabulous compliments, and for remembering my seahorse collection :) Yes this is a very pretty & different one to add, BJL pieces are so rare and classic that they don't often come up for sale, most are still in UK so I had to wait quite awhile for this fellow
Thank you dear Phil for your delightful praise for this seahorse, he has very sea-worthy coloring and nice touches like the seashell ear. The condition is very good for its age, many of these have chipped or worn enamel but I got lucky here
Lauren I am truly thrilled that this is your fave upload of mine this wk, whenever I see a pretty seahorse I just can't resist them. You're right it sort of complements the butterfly in coloring, and I think the seafoam or mint green body is a great choice for an ocean critter. Thank you as ever for your marvelous compliments
