This is the second of my two Tango glass op shop finds - an intensely yellow vase with a black rim.
It is made from two layers of cased glass, clear over a bright daffodil yellow. The classic trumpet shaped form is accented with an applied black top rim. The vase measures 19.5 cm tall, 11 cm across the top rim & 7.2 cm across the base.
Possibly by Welz?
Czech origin, circa 1920s - 30s.
Last photo shows it with the orange & brown vase also found today, & another piece of Tango era glass found in a different op shop just up the road a few weeks ago.
Sigh
The op shop offerings are certainly better in the mountains.
Great finds!
Many thanks, Karen!
Yes, the rewards are frequent..I had some great regular haunts all around Sydney (which I revisit when I can) but there just seems to be so much more neat stuff here...& the fact that I'm checking out the shops every few days no doubt helps!
