Saw a similar doll just posted!! This one is missing eyes. Has kid leather body in pretty good shape Germany and numbers on back of neck and a partial sticker on chest (Flora?) Let me know what you'll think.

I can't see markings on back of neck ? Does it say Floradora ? Eyes can be bought and reset . Do you still have eyes ? There is a chart to measure eye and yourtube shows how to replace using plaster of paris . Your doll is on correct body that previous posts doll should be on . These German dolls are fairy abundant in today's market. Armand Marsille made dolls that more people could afford and they had long runs of being made . 1890-1930s . She is worth saving and putting eyes in . Very pretty

It reads Germany and numbers half hidden by the leather stitching. Looks like 970? Thanks for the info.

Could it be 370 ? A close up of marking will help if you can do that .

From 1900-1938 Marseille’s most commonly found doll mold 370 a shoulder head on a cloth or kid body or doll mold 390 a socket head doll on a composition jointed body. The early poured bisque doll heads have an inside lip or rim where the top of the head is cut out and are fired, features are painted, then fired again. The much later dolls are a heavier bisque like clay, fired, then the flesh color and features are painted without a final firing. All Marseille doll bodies were purchased from other doll makers.
