This little 9" tall beauty has a good news/bad news story to tell. Good news it was a ninety nine cent find at GW. The design is the height of Deco influence. I thought it would have fit perfectly on the "Emerald City" set in the "Wizard of Oz". The gilt is in excellent condition despite the lid being packing taped at the store. (I hate that !) The bad news is it has sustained severe crazing and staining to the bottom inside and out. Most likely from thermal shock caused by extremely hot liquid or placing it directly on a burner. This was basically a carafe or server and not meant for open flame. The cracks don't appear on the green body so I don't think they went all the way through. I've tried everything to get the stains out. Baking soda paste did minimize the stains to the bottom but did nothing for the inside. I also sadly found out it was part of a sugar-creamer set. I did go back to GW to see if it's companions were put out later but nothing. No positive ID except possibly made by Hall. -Mike-

Beautiful deco pot, such pretty ribbing in the design & lovely green color. I can never understand why people try to heat up an aesthetic piece, it's great that the exterior is undamaged

Thanks for the "love" and comment Jenni :) I'll keep trying to remove the stains. I've heard denture tablets might work.

It has a nice color and contrast of styles, the shape with the aplied gold details.... perhaps it was decorated in a different place....
