Two vintage, cast-iron boot jacks. If you don’t have a boot jack, you don’t know what you’re missing! Best things ever! My beetle boot jack sits by the back door and is used daily. Naughty Nelly has been re-purposed as a remote control holder and a conversation piece. The beetle looks like it’s in original condition however Nelly looks as though someone painted her. If anyone knows about these, I’m wondering if I should try to strip the paint and if so, what should I use? Also, wondering should these cast-iron pieces be treated with anything? Oil etc.

I wouldn't strip the paint (unless it is horribly painted over the original), it is part of it's history and evolution. I would, on the other hand, oil the unpainted items with a mix of turpentine and linseed oil. This will protect the metal from rust if used in a wet environment. It will not hide its beauty and can easily be removed with a good paint thinner it the need arises
