    Handmade Metal Dog Tealight Holder

    Made: Bluehandworks
    Country: Indonesia
    Name: Spike Jr.

Approximately 9 1/2" from tip of nose to backside
7" tall to top of ears and tail is 4" long

I couldn't resist this metal dog. I have a couple of similar ones that are cats so this will display good with those. As a bonus, it still has its original label. He has a dog tag that says Spike Jr. He has a very animated look...and for some reason, he's anatomically correct...well I mean to say he hasn't been neutered.

Super metal dog, makes me remember the mechanical hound in the book Fahrenheit 451

It appears Spike Jr. is ready to be a Spike Sr. :)

Adorable little pup with a wag-able tail and cute spiky collar. We had a boxer named Spike (neutered tho).

      dav2no1, Cool. :-)

Yeah, I see some twins out there, as well as siblings and cousins.

I suspect the reason why Spike isn't neutered is that he wasn't USA-made. The USA has a very conflicted relationship with sex.

Jenni - I have not read that book, I'll have to look it up. The one that always sticks in my mind is "City" by Clifford Simak..the dogs figured out they were smart after realizing they had bad eyes and needed glasses..

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_(novel)

      Falcon..He does look kinda tired..

      Watch..Yes that's a great name for a dog.

      Kera Lol

Dave, I googled the book City by Simak, sounds great I'll have to get it. Fahrenheit 451 is a similar futuristic society story but the metal dog is kinda evil, similar to the robotic spiders if you saw the movie Runaway w. Tom Selleck

Oh wow..lol..I hadn't thought about that movie in a long time! Not only Tom Selleck but Gene Simmons..I remember the bullets would follow you..heat seaking

Yeah Gene Simmons was way cool as the baddie, should've played more villains but guess he made enough $ with KISS. BTW with F.451, the mechanical dog who also shot poison like the spiders is only in the book version :))

Jenni - I used to be a big reader, but now it's mostly internet stuff I'm reading. I may have to findca copy of that book, sounds interesting..

Same with me Dave, rarely get into a book anymore, you get the gist of everything from the 'net. But it's so true that when they make a movie, they often leave out the best parts of the book like that fearsome hound (movie was pre- CGI, 60s I think). Your metal dog is quite placid looking compared to it, Spike's got it going on allright

Jenni I was a big Stephen King fan and have read almost all his books. They have ruined many if his stories making movies. A few were pretty good like Running Man, the Shining and Shawshank Redemption
