I’ve held on to this piece for a while. This Japanese Byobu painting has four panels and depicts a nature scene of two Quail on mountain top covered in foliage (Mt. Fuji perhaps). It has a gold gilt background with silk framed borders. There’s a small plaque nailed on the top marked “Hand Painted in Kyoto Japan”. Measures 73” x 36” and is in great condition albeit there is wear to the back side, Painting is in excellent condition though. Any info on the artist, or age of the piece would be appreciated. I’m putting money on 20th century.
