Six months ago I went into a shop here in Sydney, Australia and bought a good sized vase with a crimp I instantly recognised. Memories of a similar form from years ago belonging to MARIN - the thorn handles iridised, frit over a cadmium yellow base with purplish gold iridescence.
A definite pontil - polished & a ground base. Remnants of a sticker.
H : 25 cm or 9.8".
W : 14 cm or 5.5"
W (with handles) : 20 cm or 7.8"

The pinched top really makes this piece come alive and the handles appear to be otherworldly, the maker I imagine said "speak" when this was created !~
