This kogo is about 2" long x 2" high x 1.5" wide and signed on the bottom. It came with a tomobako. Not sure if is a foo dog, dragon or lion... Maybe a mixture of those critters. Part of a kogo score from a few months ago. The seller started these at $.99 and they went undiscovered by collectors for some time and I got some incredible deals on then. Eventually the seller raised the price quite a bit, sometimes into the hundreds of dollars. I think there were some well known potters in this collection. Apparently a lot of Japanese items belonging to an elderly woman was purchased as a lot and the seller had no knowledge of Japanese art.
ro kogo for neriko use, it is the opposite for the furo
natsu- versus fugu
Yes! Materials, implements and types of incense are dependant on the seasons!
