This was a neat buy it now on eBay AU - a very pretty Victorian art glass vase with applied decoration.
It is made from pale yellow - green glass with a diagonal, wavy swirl shading to opalescent white at the base. It measures 22.5 cm tall at the highest point, 6 cm across the crimped & steeply pointed top rim, & 6.5 cm across the base, which has a rough pontil mark. There is an angular clear applied handle & an applied pink flower. The top rim has a white crest.
This vase would, on all appearances, look as though it would have an intense glow under UV light, but the response was weak (still made an interesting photo though) so the uranium content is minimal.
Most likely Bohemian origin, late 19th century.
Love it!
