These are my best find so far, lovely minature set of what could be oil paintings definitely of Paris - one has a signature looks like Samy and it looks like it says Samy on the back of them and 1986. Small approx 10cm by 6cm.
Anyone have any information or idea of who painted etc
Hi, Aly. :-)
There does seem to be an artist named "Samy" who produced some works in the 1980s similar to yours:

I suspect the fourth picture in your post with all of the information is the backside of the first picture, because the second and third pictures seem to offer views of the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffer Tower.
That would leave the first picture possibly showing a view of Butte Montmartre and a peek at the Sacré-Coeur basilica in the background?:

That art site didn't offer an artist bio for Samy, but I suppose you could contact them:

Thank you so much, great info, really good suggestion I will get in touch with them!
Your paintings are absolutely magnificent! I must admit I am jealous! Do you know what type of material they are painted on?
What strikes me about them are thier themes and quirkiness. I see the artwork as similar to New England folk. All of the people have very interesting features and are also behaving a bit oddly. Curious that he names of the building's are spelled in English. Thank you for sharing those
Aly, You're welcome: :-)
In reading back, I notice that I had a typographical error, and spelled "Eiffel" as "Eiffer," but you probably were able to struggle through anyway.
It's almost like it isn't content from me if there isn't a mistake in it somewhere. };-)
MishMasher, Good eye. :-)
I hadn't really noticed it until you pointed it out, but in the painting with the Arc de Triomphe, there's a sign that reads:
RESTA(URANT?)
QUICK EL(?)
THE PATISSER(IE?)
Very interesting, considering that the French typically loathe corruption of their language.
They are very cute, have to say, and definitely canvas, I wonder if they are fake "Samys" very interesting. I have asked the Art Gallery for more information, if they respond, I will let you know :) Thanks again.
By way of update - The Art gallery have just said "unfortunately we don't have any other information, we are sure that the paintings are beautiful and come from an important collection, the price is 700€ for one painting of Samy".
Thanks
