I need your help with this one. It is some kind of clamping tool. It is about 23" long and 6 1/2" wide. The wooden screw tightens the clamping end tighter as you screw it in, and the end has a metal plate that the clamp presses on to tighten hold of something. It has two adj. stops to gauge the insertion of the item clamped and it tapers out from there to the top of the tool. What the heck is it?
Did you show this item in the past? It looks very familiar..
Definitely an interesting item. Can't wait to find out what it was once actually used for.
my bad Dave, I did show it in the past. It was setting up in my computer room and my wife said, "why don't you put it on CW and find out what it is." I guess when you get in your 70's, you do these dumb things. Anyway, I still don't know what it is.
