    Chinese Pocket Warmer

    Approximately 3 1/2" x 2 1/2"

I believe this is a pocket warmer or glove warmer. Haven't found another example yet. Top opens up to expose a wick and filler. The sides are relief cut, so I assume you could close it after lit? There is so.e Chinese writing on side..think it's a company name and model?

Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Well, isn't that neat! I would have never guessed what it was. Nice find Dave!

I still have (and use) my 1968 Jon-e Hand Warmer & Deer Coy Scent Diffuser Attachment. Yours certainly has the appearance of a hand warmer.

I have seen the older metal hand warmers(we probably invented them in Canada lol) yours is similar idea to the ones I remember

If I remember correctly, I was told women would use them in their fur muffs. They probably originated back in the horse and carriage days.
