This was a cool find on eBay AU, & I was the sole bidder. A nice example of Art Nouveau iridescent glass in a decor that I have not seen in person before. It would have had a brass flower frog, which is, as usual, AWOL. I would love to know where they all went, & also to find a box full of them one day. I know there are a few of us out there who feel the same!
The vase is made from clear glass with an iridescent finish. It measures 11.5 cm tall, 8.5 cm across the top rim, & 7.5 cm across the base. The decor is a simple & elegant pattern of wavy embossed lines.
    Bohemian origin, circa 1900.

Nice piece. Congratulations. I think it could be the production of some glassworks from the Teplice area. In one of the drawing books that were stored in the former Franz Tomschick glass factory, there are several examples of this optical decor. It is marked as "Astoptisch" and "Holzoptisch". The differences between these optical decors are practically indistinguishable to me. With the vast majority of "Tomschick books", it is clear that these are indeed books depicting the production of the Tomschick glass factory. But the book, where, among other things, the drawings of these optical decors are shown, may be a book of another glass factory. According to some of the decor, it could be the Pallme Koenig & Habel glassworks.

Many thanks, Ales, this is excellent & very interesting information, much appreciated! It is indeed a most attractive decor, & this piece has really grown on me. It was pretty cheap & I took an interest because this was a new decor to me. Pleased I took a chance on it!
