Bronze plaque of Abraham Lincoln for his centenary with the Gettysburg Address on the back. The plaque is 5 inches by 3.5 inches and there is an old bronze repair done to one side of it. It says 'J. Kratina' on the left with something underneath it which i can't make out. In the upper right corner is a star and then 1809 II2+1865 IV - 15 or something close to that. I wonder what all this means? The plaque is very heavy and reminded me of some i've seen by Augustus St. Gaudens which drew me to it. Any info at all will be greatly appreciated. There's no 'bronze' category, so i put it in Fine Art. I just found a little info on Joseph Kratina - 1872-1953.
1809 to 1865 was his life..
Ohh maybe? In roman numerals...the II is 2..(February?) He was born 2-12-1809 and the IV is 15(assassination 4-15-1865)..I don't know, just a guess..
I meant IV is 4(april)
Note my comment on your bunny plate....
