I found this early beam scale interesting because of its size and condition (10" tall x 12" wide). There is a tag on the vertical section that dates it to 1875. It has a wooden tray and it measures in grams. It has no maker's marking. Maybe European in origin.
Wow! So cool to imagine herbal components for medicines being measured with your scale.
Or maybe gold nuggets! Even better! ;^D
