Hello everyone!!
I've had this pair of bookends for quite a while and just getting around to posting them. The pair of "Kissing Fish" bookends are made of cast iron and were produced by Littco in the 1920's. Over the years, I've seen sets of these broken up and referred to and sold as doorstops. However, contrary to popular belief, these are bookends and not doorstops. Though they each weigh a bit over 4lbs each and measure only 6" tall and 6" long, and could easily be used as doorstops, but they are still bookends. For these to be roughly 100 years old, they're in really nice condition and retain 98% of their original gold paint.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!
