Exxon gasoline

I confess; this is my least favorite sign of all the signs we own. I bought it at the Hershey Swap meet several years ago because it was soooo cheap I couldn’t refuse it. Yes it is the last of the porcelain signs Exxon produced and yes it’s huge. It’s about 4.5’ tall and 8’ wide. I haven’t figured out what I’m going to do with it just yet, but my wife and I hauled it out of storage today, where it has sat, and parked it temporarily against this trailer till we find a good place to display it. It gets the record for ugly modern art. For those who wonder, Exxon became the official name in 1972, which makes both the name and the sign the most modern of any of the signs we have.
