THE HISTORIC CHURCH STREET CEMETERY. ESTABLISHED IN 1819, THE YEAR OF ALABAMA'S STATEHOOD.
THE INITIAL REASON FOR PLOTTING OUT THE CEMETERY, WAS FOR THE BURIAL OF VICTIMS THAT DIED DURING A YELLOW FEVER EPEDIMIC, ALONG WITH FOUNDER'S OF MOBILE AND EARLY PIONEERS.
FOLKS, THE NEXT TIME I WILL BE COMING TO YOU WILL BE FROM THE CRADLE OF THE CONFEDARCY AND THE RESTING PLACE OF COUNTRY MUSIC LEGEND, HANK WILLIAMS SR., MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA.
