Hi everyone!!
A couple of years ago, I posted a cast iron peacock doorstop. Well, I recently acquired another for a very good price. This was made in 1910, but no one seems to know which foundry cast this peacock. She's beautifully colored. She still retains about 90% of her original paint and considering she's 114 years old, I'd say that's pretty remarkable. This peacock doorstop was available in a couple of different color variations. Pic #4 shows both of my peacock doorstops together with the different color variations available. As with my other peacock, this one measures 6 1/4" tall and 6 3/8" wide.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!

kev,
Thanks! Yes, though similar, this one has not been identified by anyone in the doorstop collectors world. Some have thought perhaps Albany Foundry or National Foundry, but no one has ever been able to confirm that. But, we do know that Hubley didn't make this one.
That is quite the fancy door stop.
Spectacular colorful antique peacock doorstop Scott, and makes a beautiful pair with your first one
