Found this beauty at Volunteer's of America the other day. The "Shibata" vases always catch my eye. This one especially because of the size (12") and unusual shape and handles. The decor is always over the top. This one has pheasants and mums under the shade of a Japanese maple. Quite a nice landscape and beautifully painted and gilded. There is a character mark on the bottom but probably not that old, maybe the 60's - 70's. -Mike-
That's a beautiful vase Mike!! I like the size of this one as well. Very nice find!
Pretty vase. Shibata made some nice vases, great quality. I have succumbed to their charms a couple of times.
Gorgeous Shibata vase, beautiful floral & bird design
