1800s Sleigh bed frame

This bed frame was given to me by my dear late friend Bob, a few years ago he asked me to help him clean out his storage unit and he'd give me this bed for helping. He told me it was made in the 1800s and at one time had belonged to one of his elders then he told me that it had been through 3 house fires and somehow managed to survive. I have had a house fire when my children were little bitty and it was a tramatic experience therefore i felt it would be bad juju to put this bed in my new house which is paid for so i wasnt taking any risks bringing it inside. All that being said i always wondered if bob was telling me a made up story or if it was true but he died before i could question him about it. I have the bed in storage now but id like to sell it but i feel i dont have enough information about it yet. Any input would be greatly appreciated
